God of War: Ragnarok” is a single player, story based game for both the PS4 and the PS5. The game is a sequel to “God of War.” While it isn’t critical to play “God of War” before playing “God of War: Ragnarok,” it might take longer to understand the story without the context of the first game. The game costs $69.99, and has a maturity rating of M (17+) for blood, gore, intense violence, and strong language. The game follows protagonists Kratos and Atreus as they travel across the Nine Realms looking to find the answers to prevent a battle that could end their world.

Overwatch 2” is a FPS (first person shooter), online multiplayer game. It can be played on Windows, Xbox X|S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and the Nintendo Switch. It’s free to download and play, though there are optional in-game purchases, including character cosmetics, and the battle pass. The game has a T rating for blood, use of tobacco, violence, and mild language. There are multiple fun game-modes to choose from, including Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, Elimination, and more.

Sonic Frontiers” is a single player, open-world platformer spanning across five large islands with unique landscapes. The game is rated E (10+), and can be played on the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox X|S, Xbox One, and Steam. There are two editions of the game, Standard Edition, being $59.99, and Deluxe Edition, which includes a digital artbook and 25 song soundtrack, is currently on sale until 12/22/2022 at $48.99.

Finally, “Splatoon 3” is a mix between a single player story based game, and an online multiplayer where you can either battle it out in Turf Wars, or work with a smaller team to collect eggs in Salmon Run. It’s not necessary to play the other “Splatoon” games before this one, though they do have an overarching story. The game is rated E (10+), $59.99, and is only available on the Nintendo Switch. You can play in handheld, tabletop, and TV modes, so it’s easy to play anywhere. In the story mode, you play as Agent 3 fighting the Octolings.
