Starting January 21 the bell schedule will be changing in preparation for a return to hybrid learning.

The bell schedule for the return to school has been released and will go into effect January 21 regardless if students return to the building or not.

The biggest change is to lunch. Lunch will move to 2nd and 6th block, eliminating the all school lunch that is currently happening in distance learning. All lunch blocks are 30 minutes, with a five minute time slot afterwards to return to class.

“We need to ensure the safety of all students and keep the numbers in the cafeteria low,” said Assistant Principal Nicole Maldonado..

English teacher Emory Henderson added, “I’m pleased that lunches will take place during 2nd/6th.  I’ve had D lunch for the past few years, and I’m usually starving by 2pm.  I think this will reduce the need for students and teachers to snack during class and help us keep things cleaner in the classrooms.”

Other small changes include a 9:15 start time and the 4:03 end time for the day.
