Best Super Bowl Commercials

Budweiser USA

Last year Budweiser took a different approach in their advertising using a Golden Retriever puppy as their focal point in order to portray the horses’ compassion. This year they focused solely on the Clydesdale’s strength accompanied by heavy metal rock playing in the background. They were able to effectively show everything the company was, but showing everything it was not. Budweiser is not a hobby, is not small, and is not a fruit cup.

Mountain Dew PuppyMonkeyBaby

Every set of eyes in every Super Bowl party were glued to the screen during this freakishly weird commercial. The strange combination of a puppy, monkey, and baby was an interesting marketing strategy that effectively got their message across. Every successful Super Bowl ad has either had a puppy, monkey or baby, so why not combine all three? The combination allowed Mountain Dew to emphasize the three contents in their new drink: Dew, Juice, and Caffeine.

Drunk Driving Commercial Helen Miren (Budweiser)

Taking a break from the more light hearted ads, Helen Miren gave a series of insults to those who choose to drink and drive. Calling them, “short-sighted, utterly useless, oxygen wasting, human form of pollution,” Miren’s rant surely left every Super Bowl party silent, as party-goers were certainly contemplating their past decisions and even drinking and driving after their Super Bowl Party.

Super Bowl Babies Choir

In just three minutes, this ad showed how important football is to this country.  Nine months after the Super Bowl, there is a dramatic rise in birth rates in winning cities. This adorable commercial displayed the “Super Bowl Babies” from past yeas all singing together in a choir.

 Doritos Ultrasound

This hilarious commercial showed just how hard Doritos are to resist- even for unborn babies during an Ultrasound. Not unusual for any Doritos commercial, but this one certainly had everyone watching laughing hysterically.
