Dear Mr.Demott,
Since it’s teacher appreciation week, I thought it’d be the perfect time to thank you for making science fun. Through my high school years I’ve never liked science class, it was something I’d dread for the entire year, but your class completely changed that for me. At the start of the year I honestly thought that this class would be similar to how chemistry or biology ended up for me, but that wasn’t true. You ended up changing my mood for senior year completely.
What made the biggest difference for me was how much more passionate and understanding you are when you teach. You made me feel more comfortable actually asking questions more often and actually trying to understand the concepts which made me feel more confident in the class than being stressed all year.
Even on days when I didn’t feel like coming to school, your class was more relaxed and enjoyable. I genuinely learned a lot from you, not just about the environment, but about looking at the world from a different perspective and paying attention to things I wouldn’t usually notice.
Thank you for being patient, funny, understanding, and for making a subject I never liked become something I could appreciate. I’m really grateful I got to be in your class this year.
Sincerely,
Eshaal Khan
