Dear Mr. Banks,

I wanted to thank you so much for the 2 years you have taught me, and the 3 years you’ve been my friend. With it being teacher appreciation week, I thought it’d be best to honor you as one of my favorite teachers I’ve ever had.

My classes with you have always been entertaining. You would always keep the environment alive with your numerous stories. I have felt myself grow as a writer in your class, remembering advice you gave me last year even during my AP Literature exam.

I am very thankful for you sparking my passion for journalism, as it has become an important part of my life these past two years. I can’t imagine myself being a part of the newspaper without your guidance.

Your advice for college and life in general has influenced my perspective of who I want to be in the future. Even as I graduate in a month, I’m still very thankful for your impact you have had on my life. Thank you so much for all you have done for me, and being an amazing teacher at Dominion.
