Hola Mrs. Lupas,
Being reminded that it is Teacher Appreciation Week made me feel the need to thank you for everything you have done for me these past three years in Spanish. I do not tell you enough about how grateful I am to have received you as my teacher and overall the appreciation I have for you being there for me and my family. Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!
You don’t only have the drive for teaching your students another language, but you form connections with your students and make them feel heard and that is what is so special about you. I never really felt inspired to learn Spanish and I didn’t love the language until I met you. I feel so engaged with the class and even if I am not fluent, or am not the biggest fan of conjugating, you understand me, and your passion for Spanish will never be unseen.
One thing that is an unforgettable experience and I will never fail to recognize you for is getting the opportunity to host a Spanish student. You truly were the key factor of why I chose to host and knowing that I gave Aina a once in a lifetime opportunity holds a warm place in my heart. Without you I would not be who I am today, you continue to make me grow as a student and as a person.
As I am leaving Spanish this year, the love I have for you and your class will always stick with me. Being greeted with a happy spirit, all of the deep conversations we have had and the silly jokes you make, make me more and more satisfied that I chose Spanish all along. Expect many visits next year, and one to Spain too!
¡Thank you for spending another year with me, Adios!

Dear Ellory,
Thank you so much for your letter. It made my day! So happy I had the pleasure to spend all these years teaching you and above all that through your hard work and dedication you were able to learn Spanish and open your heart to another culture. Looking forward to visiting España with you!
Un gran abrazo, Profe Lupas
