With six new teachers coming to Dominion this year, get to know one of the new PE teachers, Ms. Causin.

What is your name? Trisha Causin

Where are you originally from? I’m from Ashburn.

What high school did you graduate from? I graduated from Broad Run in 2009.

What are you teaching this year? I’m teaching 10th grade PE, Driver’s Ed and AVID I.

Is this your first year teaching? This is my ninth year teaching the exact same thing, except, this is my first year with AVID.

What led you to come to Dominion? It was time for a change. I liked the community and the school atmosphere, so [I] gave it a shot.

What are you most excited for about this upcoming school year? Meeting more kids, and seeing how I can help positively impact.

Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what are their names? I do have a pet. She is my world, I’m obsessed with her. I have a six-year-old Bernese mountain dog named Gemma.

How do you like to relax after a long school day? I like to just watch TV and cuddle with my dog.

What show are you currently watching? Grey’s Anatomy is back on, so now I’ll be watching Grey’s.

What was your favorite class or subject in high school and why? I’ll be honest, it wasn’t PE, I don’t even know what it was. School wasn’t really my thing until college.

Who is someone you look up to and why? My mom, because we’ve been through a lot and she’s still staying strong.

Is there anything else I should know? Excited to be here, thank you so much.
