Thank You Mrs. Barton

Dear Mrs. Barton,

Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! Thank you for everything you do for your students!

Last year, I was very on the fence about taking an AP class. I went back and forth with my counselor, my history teacher, and my mom about taking one, trying to decide whether I should or not. Ultimately I decided to take it, just to see how it would be, and so I would know what AP classes were going to be like for my junior year.

At first I doubted if taking the class would really help me, or be fun for me. I quickly realized that not only would I learn a lot in your class, but almost everything we learned related to something I was taught in another class, or something in my personal life. I use the things you taught us in my personal life a lot more than I thought I would, especially in areas like watching the news, and understanding what is going on with a different lens than before. One of my favorite parts of a unit we learned was the one on women, it was so interesting to me, and gave me a much broader perspective on the topic.

I’m so glad I took your class this year. Thank you for making it such an enjoyable experience, and being such a great teacher!

Sincerely,

Cynthia
