Through PRCS and their two main volunteer opportunities in Loudoun, Highschool students can make friends while serving their community.

PRCS and Special Olympics

PRCS (Parks, Recreation, and Community Service) offers two main volunteer opportunities that high school students in Loudoun County can participate in: Special Olympics and the theatre arts program. According to Chris Caesar, coordinator for Special Olympics in Loudoun County, responsibilities with volunteering for the special Olympics include one time events like running a game, helping with food, and assisting the participants (whose ages range from 8 to 108) as well as volunteering at practices. Michelle Waugh is coordinator for arts for all of Loudoun and some ways you can assist their theatre arts program would be putting hair and makeup skills to use, getting participants on stage, and helping participants with lines.
