College Football Playoff Rankings

The latest College Football Playoff rankings just came out Tuesday night, and like and with only two weeks to go in the 2017-2018 season we are now getting an accurate look at how the committee is going to judge these teams down the stretch. So here are some observations of mine along with predictions for the football still yet to be played.

First, The Rankings

  1. Alabama
  2. Clemson
  3. Miami
  4. Oklahoma

5- Wisconsin

6- Auburn

What Surprised Me:

Oklahoma has the most impressive resume in the country in my opinion, with wins against the now #8 and #10 teams in the country on the road. To go along with a win against TCU who is #11. Clemson has two high quality wins against #6 Auburn and now unranked Virginia Tech on the road, but they also have a loss against Syracuse which the committee has seemingly forgot. Oklahoma should be ahead of Clemson.

Important Games Coming in the Next Two Weeks:

This week:

#24 Michigan at #5 Wisconsin 12:00 pm FOX

Virginia at #3 Miami 12:00 pm ESPN

Next Week:

#1 Alabama at #6 Auburn

#24 West Virginia at #4 Oklahoma

#2 Clemson at South Carolina

Who Controls Their Own Destiny, Ranking Predictions:

Right now, all the top 4 teams should get in if they win out. The conference championships are going to be filled with some great matchups, and will all most likely be “win and they’re in” games. Clemson and Miami will face in the ACC championship game, which already leaves room for Wisconsin, Georgia, Auburn, or Ohio State to sneak in.

Who I think will be in after it is all said and done:

  1. Alabama
  2. Oklahoma
  3. Miami
  4. Wisconsin

A lot of great football still left to be played!
