Virginia Tech (3-0) – The No. 16 Ranked Hokies marched into Greenville, NC and blew out the East Carolina Pirates. After falling behind 17-7 in the first quarter, the Hokies turned it up, scoring 57 unanswered points. Accounting for most of that was quarterback Josh Jackson, completing 24 of his 31 passes and throwing 5 touchdowns. Tech’s No. 1 receiver Cam Phillips had a big day, catching 14 passes for 189 yards and three touchdowns.  The Hokie defense also played well, forcing two fumbles and an interception. With the win this past weekend, the Hokies moved up 3 spots in the AP Poll, to No. 13. This upcoming weekend the Hokies will be back at Lane Stadium in Blacksburg to take on the Old Dominion Monarchs (2-1). This game should be a one-sided affair for the Hokies, and it is scheduled for 2:00 PM EST on ACC Network.

Maryland (2-0) – The Terrapins had a bye this past Saturday and will be back in action this weekend against the University of Central Florida Knights, in College Park. This game is huge for the Terps, as if they win they will be 3-0 heading into Big Ten play. Start time for this matchup is 3:00 PM EST on Fox Sports 1.

Virginia (2-1) – The Cavaliers defeated the Connecticut Huskies on Saturday, by a score of 38-18. Cavaliers quarterback Kurt Benkert threw for a school-record breaking 455 yards, and also tacked on 3 touchdowns. Junior running back Jordan Ellis led the team in rushing, with 95 yards and a touchdown. The Cavs defense forced two turnovers but did give up over 430 yards of offense to the Huskies. This Saturday the Cavaliers travel to Boise, Idaho, to take on the Boise State Broncos, at 8:00 PM EST on ESPN 2.

James Madison (3-0) – JMU dominated the Norfolk State Spartans on both sides of the ball this past Saturday, winning 75-14. Quarterback Bryan Schor threw for 198 yards and two touchdowns, while running for another. The Dukes offense put up and astounding 728 yards, with 478 of that coming on the ground, while the defense held the Spartans to just 91. The Dukes will host the Maine Black Bears (1-1) this weekend, with game time at 1:30 PM EST on MASN.
