Caps Talk

With their win over Pittsburgh earlier this week, the Capitals continue showing their dominance over all other teams game after game. The Caps are currently first in their division and second in the league as a whole. This is great news for trash talkers like myself who go nuts when I see the Caps win.

One of the biggest factors to Washington’s success is definitely Braden Holtby. That man is a wall. With a .933 save percentage, teams are lucky if they get the puck past him. He faced forty five shots last night in Pittsburgh and blocked forty four. The Caps are an offensive machine, but they wouldn’t be anywhere close to where they are now if they didn’t have Holtbeast in the crease.

The newest super star on the Caps roster is one of the biggest components is also making a name for himself in Washington. T.J Oshie is tied for second most goals on the team with ten so far. He has a total of eighteen points in the season, which is starting to heat up. The Caps made a great choice picking up Oshie, both for their own benefit, and Oshie’s. St. Louis was holding T.J back big time.

All in all the Caps have won eight of their last ten games, which is the second best in the league. They’re only one win behind Dallas and have a relatively easy schedule to finish off the month. The only competition they have left in 2015 are Montreal and the Rangers, which should help launch Washington into a successful 2016 year.
