Restaurant Review: Burger 21
Burger 21, a fast-casual burger chain which already had roots in Northern Virginia, recently opened up a new branch in Sterling. Located less than a mile from the Dulles Town Center mall, it is both conveniently located and pleasantly isolated.
Burger 21’s concept is not unique—reasonably-priced gourmet burgers, fries, and shakes delivered in a hybrid setting. However, their execution is in a class of its own. Across the board, their burgers are almost perfectly juicy and their fries are crisped to perfection.
The most popular burger selections on Burger 21’s menu include the Bacon Cheesy–featuring bacon and three different cheeses all on a brioche toasted bun—and the Cinco Burger, which contains guacamole, salsa, and jalapenos for a Spanish twist.
Another highlight of Burger 21’s menu selection is its diverse alternate choices. If you’re not in the mood for red meat, Burger 21 offers chicken, turkey, veggie, and seafood burgers to choose from as well as chicken tenders and gourmet hot dogs. For a healthier side, you can try one of their six salad options.
Burger 21’s shake menu, in similar fashion, is full of uniquely-styled choices you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else. From the ‘Ybor City Double Expresso’ shake to the Coca-Cola float, the shake menu has something for even the most reluctant dessert fan.
A new Sterling staple, Burger 21 is a must-try for anyone looking for a new twist on an old classic.
