Game: Wednesday, December 11 7:15pm at Dominion High School
Why: After last Monday’s hard fought battle against Briar Woods, the team is looking to rebound from the tough loss and come away with a win in their first home game of the season. Dominion now sits at 2-1 record after their tournament wins against Justice and Osbourn Park.
Junior captain Jaden Beyer said, “We are all pretty excited, this game will be a sign to our school and community that we have improved as a team.” This being the boy’s first home game, Titans are encouraged to attend, “I think the game would be a lot more fun if everyone shows their school pride by coming out to our games,” Beyer said.
Not only the players, but the coaches also encourage students to come out and join D-Block for the first home game. Coach Ryan Williams said, “We want to try and get a big crowd out for our home opener so we can bring that new era, and that new energy.” After their first game, Williams had a lot of feedback for the team and what to improve on moving forward. Williams said, “Sometimes the smallest details have the largest consequences, we shot 3 for 11 on the foul line and that was kind of a difference of the game. Everything was there that we’ve been preaching in the off season.”
Players to Watch For: Sharpshooting guard #1 Jakob Jude Salgado and strong two-way player #3 Sherveen Afsoos.
What’s Next: Their next match is at the Independence Tigers on Thursday, December 12, at 7:15pm.
