What’s your official position at dominion?
I am the attendance administrative assistant.
What does this position entail?
I track all students’ attendance, whether they’re absent, come in late, have to leave early, [or] skip.
How long have you been here in this position?
This would be year seven.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Chaotic, the mornings are the busiest because we have to check in all the kids that are coming in late, and then I have to process all absences and dismissals. All day I’m checking everyone’s attendance.
What did you do before coming to Dominion?
I actually worked in a medical office as a secretary.
Which department is the worst at turning in attendance?
The math department.
Which department is the best at turning in attendance?
They’re all pretty much tied, because there’s always a handful from each department that I have to call down to. No answer, room for improvement.
Where are you originally from?
Once I started with the county, I’ve [stayed] at Dominion.
Where did you go to high school?
Dominion.
Where did you go to college?
I [went to] Nova Community College.
What do you do in your free time?
Currently I am expecting a baby, so I am planning for that.
Did you do anything fun or interesting over the summer?
I went on a cruise for about 10 days in the Caribbean.
