Senior Goodbye: Aidan Mason

Aidan Mason will be headed to Virginia Tech to focus on his writing.

Even though this may be a goodbye, this isn’t quite the end. I still have my life ahead of me, after all. Just because I’m no longer in the building doesn’t mean that I’m going to fade away like a ghost. But, this doesn’t mean that this all meant nothing.

When I started off, I was very much at a lower point. I felt like I was directionless, without ambition and without a plan. Nowadays, while I’m not perfect, I am much more stable that I was at the end of middle school.

But I’m not complete yet. There’s still so much more to do, so much more life to live. High school is not the end of my life, and in the end, it’ll probably be only a tiny portion of it.

But it has been a part of my life, no matter how small. And it is a part where I have grown and developed into someone that knows what steps he has to take next. Do I have regrets? Of course; everyone does. However, these regrets pale in comparison to what I have learned.

I’ve become the person that will live the life that I’m about to live. I have ideas now, plans for the future. I have a purpose, a desire.

Thank you to everyone who’s allowed me to grow into the person I am today. I will miss you, but will keep you all in my heart as I move forward.
