The school year is coming to an end, which means that there are plenty of things to do in the fast approaching summer, including watching some of the most anticipated movies slated for release in theaters the next few months. Diving into these films, here is a short but must-know list including a unique short snippet on each movie, when they will release, and any other interesting facts.
The Action-Packed Adventures
Jurassic World Dominion
When: June 9th (US)

Description: This seemingly never-ending trilogy finally comes to a close with the storyline of the dinosaurs and humans coexisting one last time in the island of Malta in the mediterranean sea after their home of Isla Nublar is destroyed. Better yet, original actors from the Jurassic Park series in Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum return to join Chris Evans and Bryce Dallas Howard for the ultimate Jurassic World cast and wrap up this legendary series of films that has dated back nearly 30 years that’s been filled with constant carnage and action.
Thor: Love and Thunder

Description: The fourth installment of the Thor movie series takes a bit of a twist with the God of Thunder aiming to find himself including his inner peace by hanging up the cleats for a bit. However, he is interrupted in this process by Gor the God Butcher, who wants to kill all the gods. Knowing he can’t just let this happen, Thor suits up like never before in an effort to exterminate his attempted murderer. Unlike the previous Thor movies, the protagonist’s opposition is very much different than Thor himself.

DC League of Super-Pets

Description: This animated film takes the setting of the Justice League cartoons into a fun animation directed towards the younger generation. Featuring star actors such as the Rock, Keanu Reeves, Kevin Hart, and John Krasinski, best buddies Superman and Krypto the Superdog must save their friends at all costs after being kidnapped.
Lightyear

Description: Inspired by the original Buzz Lightyear character in the first Toy Story film, this movie goes deeper into the origin story of Buzz as he embarks on his journey to find his way home through an endless void of space. Additionally, Chris Evans voices the main character as a plus.
Minions: The Rise of Gru

To find out more about said discovery, catch the movie in theaters as soon as July 22nd.
