Loudoun County Animals Services the government run animal services for Loudoun County aims to help domestic animals in the county. LCAS returns animals to owners and works with adoptions and fostering. They also have an Animal Services Branch, which is within the community on cases with wildlife. Volunteers should expect to get to work with the different animals, walking the animals, housekeeping, and all sorts of different tasks. “I highly recommend that if you’re looking to work with animals, or if you want to get into the vet program or any of the programs that are offered through academies, an animal shelter is a great place to start,” said Susan Walker, volunteer at LCAS.
