Check This Out: Pelaton App

Need some exercise on a rainy day? Download Mia’s suggestion of the Peloton app.

What: Peloton App

Where: Available for download on Apple, Samsung, and Google devices

Why:

The Coronavirus pandemic has led to thousands of businesses closing their doors in an effort to slow the spread of the virus and to promote social distancing. Those businesses include many gyms and fitness facilities.

Peloton, a exercise equipment company, who is best known for their exercise bikes has developed a fitness app to help customers stay fit. The cost of the app is usually $12.99 per month. The company has decided to extend their free trial from 30 days to 90 days.

The app includes workouts for Peloton bike and treadmill owners, as well as at-home workouts that do not require any equipment at all. The app offers numerous workouts such as yoga, meditation, dance, cardio, bootcamps, strength training and more. The Peloton instructors film the workouts in New York City studios with upbeat and current music always playing in the background. The workouts last anywhere from 10-60 minutes.

Once you create an account, you can add friends to join the workout with you and you are able to motivate and encourage each other through the app during workouts. Peloton also offers pre-recorded classes which is great for on the go users.

I recommend the Peloton app because it allows those who wish to workout during this pandemic to do so in the comfort of their own home, and in a safe environment.
