Teacher Tuesday: Mr. Haberman
Mr. Haberman is a psychology teacher at Dominion and was named the SCA teacher of the month.
What is your favorite thing about teaching psychology?
I think that students are so enthusiastic about learning it and that it involves self discovery, and that it can really change. People can change how they understand themselves and what they want to do with them.
What was your first job?
Very first job was out of grad school was a college counseling center counselor at Allegheny college.
You coached Blankslate for awhile, did you perform comedy improv in high school?
Yeah, as part of the drama program, we did improv was a required part of everyone that was involved in drama.
What is an interesting fact about you?
I worked for I worked for Kings Dominion before and ever opened. I did promotional work with Kings Dominion, dressing up as characters show characters and shopping malls before it ever opened.
How does it feel being teacher of the month?
It’s very gratifying to be recognized. But I also think a lot of it is just that I’m blessed with great kids and really fun stuff to teach. So, but getting that feedback was always meaningful. It feels good.
