Q1: When you were younger, what did you want to be when you grew up? Why?

I wanted to be a lawyer!  I loved to win disputes with my teachers by presenting, what I believed, were VERY reasonable arguments.  I guess that’s coming back to haunt me now that I’m teaching!

Q2: What has been the best part of teaching and why?

Students can be so funny! Everyday my students make me smile, laugh and help keep things in perspective.  I love teaching math and find it extra rewarding when my students realize they enjoy aspects of it too; but the best part of teaching really is the personal interactions and seeing students get excited and having fun … sometimes, they’re even excited about math!

Q3: What do you enjoy doing in your free time? Why?

I love to be outside!  I am a cyclist and hiker.  I rode over 1600 miles this past summer break!

Q4: If you could co-star with any famous actor in a movie, who would it be and why?

Will Ferrell … I would be laughing the entire time!

Q5: What TV show do you binge watch in your free time?

Current: Money heist / last binge was Stranger Things (with Grady)

Q6: What is your go to song if doing karaoke?

Jimmy Buffet: Cheeseburger in Paradise.

Q7: What is a fun fact about you that you wish people knew?

My son Grady is a freshman here at Dominion and I love being in school with him.
