His dad left him and his mom when he was at a young age. The main characters name is Spencer. He has an incredible gift in football. He is the star of his high school team. Even though he his the star he faces different challenges throughout the show. 

Most of those challenges are similar challenges that high school students face. He has to deal with school stress and different kinds of temptations. High school students should watch the show. They should watch because it teaches important lessons about overcoming hardships and challenges in life. It is worth checking out because it is a great show and people can relate to the situation that Spencer is in.
