Sara Holland (DHS Press Reporter) is a senior at Dominion, and she is signing to play softball at Buffalo Wednesday, November 14th, in the Dominion cafeteria.
What made you choose Buffalo as your school?
I really liked the academics they provided. A new coaching was coming in, so I felt they would be the best to play under.
How would you describe yourself as a teammate?
I’m very supportive of my teammates, that’s the first thing I think of, to make sure they’re getting better every day and that they improve as well as myself.
What was your experience like playing for Dominion?
It was fun, I met a lot of new girls that helped me form relationships.
Do you have any professional athlete you try to play like?
When Daniel Murphy played for the Nats, my hitting coach said my swing was a lot like his so I watched him and studied how he swung the bat and that’s how I would focus my approach at the plate.
What was your favorite moment from the Caps Stanley Cup Win?
I attended Game 4, and I was right up to the glass when John Carlson scored a goal. Being surrounded by all the fans, it was such an amazing environment.
