5 Questions: Omar Aougab
Omar Aougab is a senior at Dominion High School and he runs for the Cross country varsity team, who is going to regionals this season.
Question: How long have you been running for Dominion?
Omar: I have been running since my outdoor track season of my freshman year.
Question: How long have you been running for varsity?
Omar: I got my first varsity letter my freshman year of outdoor track because I barely made the postseason roster.
Question: What success have you had so far this postseason?
Omar: Well so far we’ve only run districts and I placed fourth behind two runners from Loudoun Valley and one from Woodgrove, the team got second to Valley and we expected that so it’s been successful so far.
Question: Do you want to continue your cross country career in college?
Omar: yeah, hopefully division one.
Question: How do you expect to do in this years postseason?
Omar: I’ve already broke the school record, which was a huge goal for me. Now I just plan on going for all-state, in indoor and outdoor track. I want to break the record in the mile and the eight hundred meters and go all-state again.
