Hannah Johnson named Co-Player of the Year
This past Thursday, the 2018 All-Dulles District field hockey team was announced, and Dominion High School goalkeeper, Hannah Johnston, received co-Player of the year award with Abigail Stevens from Loudoun County High School.
“I feel very honored. There are so many amazing players in the district. I was pretty surprised when I heard the news,” said Johnston.
Hard work is what helped get Hannah on top of the Dulles-District aas she has been playing for 7 straight years. “I haven’t just played for Dominion, but also for my travel team year around. I have wonderful teammates and have had great coaching through my years of field hockey,” said Johnston.
Dominion had a down year this year with a 6-11 record, but the Titans had five players get recognized in the first and second team in the Dulles District. Hannah Johnston went first team all-strict along with midfielder, Skylar Holmgrain, and defenseman, Kaitlyn Helmich. Dominion also had two second team all-district recognitions with midfielder, Maddie Beal, and forward, Jessie Lee.
