5 Questions: Petya Yaneva

Petya Yaneva is a senior at Dominion High School and she is the President of the Spanish Honors Society.
Question: When did you join the Spanish Honors Society, and why did you join?
Yaneva: I joined the Honors Society during my sophomore year, and I was interested because I had friends who were in it and I love learning about new cultures.
Question: What’s the best memory the Spanish Honors Society has given you?
Yaneva: We had Los Toltecos dinner one night and we ate a lot of good food while listening to a mariachi band.
Question: How did it feel to be a senior inducting underclassmen?
Yaneva: I felt honored inducting the underclassmen. I thought they were all super cute; I felt like a mom.
Question: How do you think the underclassmen will impact the Spanish Honors Society?
Yaneva: I think the underclassmen will bring fresh ideas to the societies, and I think they will offer a lot of help which will eventually allow them to lead the societies.
Question: What are you most excited for this year in the Spanish Honors Society?
Yaneva: I am most excited for the volunteering. The Spanish Honors Society is working on a lot of different projects which involve working with younger kids and high schoolers!
