As a sophomore, Brian Shen has pulled ahead as a star golfer on the Dominion Golf Team as well as in the state as well. Shen made it to states last season as a freshman for the first time, and it is one of his goals this season to make it to states again. He plans to meet this goal by, “practic[ing] often,” said Shen. Shen also said that his favorite thing about playing golf is, “Getting out there and having a good time,” Shen also said that his favorite thing about playing for Dominion is, “The team and how we get along.” Shen has a very promising future playing for the Dominion golf team throughout his next three years at Dominion.

From the Coach: Brian has really stepped into a leadership role on this year’s team.  With the graduation of a couple of seniors, Brian has not only held down the #1 position, but also been a leader and steadying influence in practices.  He has averaged a 39 over our 9 hole matches and a 77.5 in 18 hole matches.  As a first year coach, I’m very lucky to have a player like Brian on the team.
