Newspaper students partnered with PBS Student Reporting Labs for their Power in Numbers series and created two different stories. This one is about local teen author Kiara Brown.

Kiara Brown was disappointed with childrens books, so she wrote her own from Student Reporting Labs on Vimeo.

High school student Kiara Brown wrote the children's book Princess Pretend and the Not Knight to teach young children the value of discovering their own passions, and not relying on gender norms and stereotypes to determine their goals in life.
