January:

Milky Chance January 20 at The Fillmore Silver Spring – The Milky Chance is a German folk band which not only incorporates folk but also reggae and jazz. Their newest album, Blossom, had just been released less than a year ago and is only their second studio album.

Lana Del Rey January 25 at Capital One Arena – Lana Del Ray has an indie pop or dream pop sound. Her newest album Lust for Life which has hit the top charts in both the United Kingdom and the United States.

Rick Ross January 27 at Bliss DC – Rick Ross is a hip-hop and rap artist. His ninth studio album, Rather You Than Me, was released in March 2017 and features many well-known artists like Future, Gucci Mane, Ty Dolla $ign and more.

 

February:

SZA February 5 at The Fillmore Silver Spring – SZA is an alternative and R&B singer/songwriter. Her debut studio album, CTRL, reached number 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and certified platinum. CTRL has also been named best album of 2017 by Time. Rapper Smino and R&B singer Ravyn Lenae are the opening artist for her tour. 

Phillip Phillips February 17 at The Fillmore Silver Spring – Phillip Phillips is a folk, pop and rock artist. His newest album, which is being released on January 19 this year. Phillip Phillips won the eleventh season of American Idol in 2012, and his popularity has sky-rocketed since.

X Ambassadors February 19 at the 9:30 Club – X Ambassadors is an American rock band with some indie styles in their music. Their debut LP was VHS, which had many hit songs reach the top charts. They also released four singles in 2017 and collaborate with many artists like Bebe Rexha and Eminem.

Tyler, the Creator February 25 at The Anthem – Tyler, the Creator is a rap and hip-hop artist. He is also a record producer and music video director. He has just released his fourth studio album in July, Flower Boy. Tyler, the Creator is nominated for “Best Rap Album” in the 2018 Grammy Awards.

 

March:

A$AP Ferg March 1 at the Fillmore Silver Spring – A$AP Ferg is an American rapper. His most recent album, Always Strive and Prosper, had one song, New Level, that was certified gold. His most recent studio work was a on a song Lost Kings released, called Look At Us Now.

G-Eazy March 17 at the DAR Constitution Hall – G-Eazy is a rapper and record producer. His newest album, The Beautiful and Damned, was just released. He has hit the Billboard Top 100 multiple times throughout his career.

Billie Eilish March 20 at the Black Cat – Billie Eilish is a pop singer and song-writer. Eilish is only 16 years old, and her studio album Don’t Smile at Me has reached the top charts in multiple countries. She only released her album mid 2017 after the success of her single, Ocean Eyes.

 

April:
Lorde April 8 at The Anthem – Lorde is a electropop and indie pop singer. Her album, Melodrama, that was released mid-2016 has been nominated for Album of the Year in the Grammy Awards.

P!nk April 16 at the Verizon Center – P!nk is a pop singer. Her album, Beautiful Trauma, contains the hit song What About Us has reached #1 on the Adult Pop Songs chart. She also received the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards.

 

May:

The Kooks May 25 at the Lincoln Theatre – The Kooks are an English pop rock band. They have released two new songs in 2017, and are currently preparing their next studio album. Their album from 2015 was a huge success and they began their tour at the end of 2017.

 

June:

Harry Styles June 24 at the Capital One Arena – Harry Styles is an English singer and songwriter. After One Direction split up, Harry Styles released a self-titled album, which debuted at #1 in many countries’. His album has been included in multiple publications Best Albums of 2017.

 

July:

Sam Smith July 3 at the Capital One Arena – Sam Smith is a singer-songwriter. His newly released album, The Thrill of It All, is his first to reach the US Billboard 200, and his song Too Good at Goodbyes, reached number 5. 

Taylor Swift July 10 at the FedEx Field – Taylor Swift is a widely known pop singer. Her album, Reputation, is the top selling album in the country. This album sold 2 million copies within the first week it was released.

Macklemore July 28 at Jiffy Lube Live – Macklemore is an American rapper and songwriter. His new album, Gemini, contains the songs, Glorious, Marmalade and Good Old Days, which have all received positive feedback from his fans.

 

August:

Shakira August 11 at the Capital One Arena – Shakira is a Columbian, singer, songwriter, dancer and producer. She had vocal damage, postponing her tour and putting her on a hiatus. But this year she will be continuing her tour after her recovery.
