Fantasy Football Talk: Week 13

Fantasy Football Talk: Week 13

One-week til fantasy football playoffs start and there is still lots of solid waiver-wire pickups and new starts and sits. New starts and sits this week as new players have become bust and must starts. Point totals are based on normal ESPN non-ppr point system.

Must Start: Jordan Howard against the 49ers. The 49ers rush defense has allowed the 3rd most yards per game this season and tied for 6th in rushing TDs allowed this season. Howard coming off a poor 1.9 point performance against the Eagles will look to bounce back against a much weaker 49ers run defense.

Dion Lewis against the Bills. The Bills rush defense has allowed the most rushing TDs this season and have allowed the third most fantasy points to RB this season. The Patriots should go up on the Bills early and will look to keep running the ball right down the throat of the Bills all game.

Derek Carr against the Giants. The Giants pass defense is horrendous allowing the 3rd most passing yards per game and the 9th highest passer rating allowed. Carr with a very hot hand heading to this game should look to have a big day.

Sit: Marvin Jones Jr. against the Ravens. Ravens pass defense has been phenomenal allowing a league low 57.2% completion rate, second lowest in yards per game, is tied for the second most interceptions with 14. Jones should look to be very limited after having an absolute breakout year having the 4th most fantasy points out of wideouts this season.

Mark Ingram against the Panthers. Ingram and Kamara have both been sensational this season but this week, the Saints running back who gets still gets the carry load, Ingram, is the sit. The Panthers have allowed the 3rd least amount of rushing yards this season and are tied for a league low in rushing TDs allowed. Look for a very limited week on the ground for Ingram.

Devonta Freeman against the Vikings. Coming off a concussion and missing the past couple weeks, Freemans fantasy point total won’t just take a hit because of that. The Vikings rush defense has allowed the second least amount of rushing yards and has not even allowed a rush over 29 yards this season. The combination of a solid Vikings run defense and just coming of an injury should lead to a very low point total.

Waiver-wire Pickups: Josh Gordon, WR on the Browns. Just becoming suspended by the NFL will return to the field this week. Gordon was a top notch WR before his suspension so look to see Gordon put up some pretty decent numbers upon his return.

Case Keenum, QB on the Vikings. Since week 8 Keenum has averaged an outstanding 21.5 fantasy points. Keenum is playing sensationally and is only owned in 49% of leagues and is a great QB pickup.

Josh McCown,QB on the Jets. The 13th ranked QB in points is averaging 18.5 points per game since week 6 and has looked very comfortable with the Jets this season. Only owned in 35.6% of leagues, McCown is very valuable piece to add to your lineup heading into the playoffs.
