Personal Questions and Responses
What is one thing you like doing in your free time?
-I love spending time with my family, either hiking or volunteering.
How long have you been involved in education?
-For almost 25 years, I have worked for an education association, was director of a special education program, coached Odyssey of the Mind, and taught in several different schools.
What made you want to be an educator?
-My youngest sister was born with an intellectual disability, as well as speech impairments. Being, one of the many recipients of all the love she had to give and watching the many challenges she faced, made me want to be a special educator.
What made you want to teach at Dominion?
-All three of my children have attended Dominion High School and have had some wonderful experiences. I also wanted to make an impact in my community. I am familiar with many of the resources available in this community which is an important part of my role as a transition teacher.
What is your first impression of Dominion after your first quarter working here?
-Dominion has some very talented and hardworking teachers and staff who care deeply about their students.
