Athlete of the Week: Trey Hayes
Last week: A sophomore football player for Dominion high school, Trey Hayes helped the Titans blow out the Park View Patriots with a 55-6 win last Friday. Trey hit George Richardson for big gains one ending in a touchdown.
This season: The sophomore stepped in as varsity quarterback after the loss of Thomas Jarman due to a torn ACL. Trey has led the Titans to three big wins, clinching the Titans a playoff spot. In Trey’s second game, the 5’9 Sophomore threw for 143 yards, two touchdowns, and ran for 61 yards, and one touchdown. He erased a 28-14 deficit in the third quarter for an ecstatic 43-31 win over the Loudoun Valley Vikings.
This week Trey Hayes takes athlete of the week not only for his stats but the way he handled stepping into some big shoes as varsity quarterback.
