Fantasy Football Week 4: Who to Start and Who to Sit

Fantasy Football Week 4: Who to Start and Who to Sit

Once again, Sunday did not disappoint around the NFL. Spectacular endings and upsets around the league has made for some new stars and new official busts in the fantasy football world. Point system based on basic non-ppr ESPN point system.

Must Start Week 4: Leonard Fournette against the Jets. Yeah, yeah, the Jets defense looked so good against the Dolphins! No do not let this change anything, the Jets are horrible, including their defense. The Jaguars will go up early and will stay on top of the horrible Jets which will allow Fournette to get a heavy workload of carries. The rookie back averages 14 points a game will be around this range on Sunday.

Russell Wilson against the Colts. A 33.5-point man last Sunday, against an above average Titans team, is home against the weak 1-2 Colts. The Colts have allowed the third most passing yards in 2017 so far. Every arrow points to Russell to put up another huge fantasy week this week.

Steelers D/ST against the Ravens. The Ravens lost Marshall Yanda earlier this season leaving a huge hole in their O-line. Last week their offense showed their vulnerability while missing Yanda, only putting up 7 points against the Jaguars whose defense is no better than average. Look for a large number of sacks from a number 3 ranked defense in Pittsburgh.

Dalvin Cook against the Lions. The Lions have allowed the 25th most fantasy points to opponents’ running backs per game in 2017. Starting Dalvin Cook against the weak Lions with the powerful Vikings O-line blocking for him against the weak Lions run stopping defense. The rookie back averaging 13.5 points, definitely has the potential to go north of this number.

Sit Week 4: Lamar Miller against the Titans. The Titans defense is ranked 16th in rushing yards allowed which is average, but that’s not the reason to bench Lamar. The running backs points this week will plummet as the pass game will be mainly focused on against a Titans defense that has given up the 5th most passing yards this season. Lamar will simply be very limited in his amount of carries and will see a loss of points this week against the Titans.

T.Y. Hilton against the Seahawks. Even though it was nice to see T.Y. look like himself once again last week putting up 21.3 against the Browns, T.Y. heads to Seattle to get guarded by Richard Sherman. With a below average QB, Jacoby Brissett, throwing to him against the Pro Bowl CB, expectations are extremely low for T.Y. this week in Seattle.

Waiver-Wire Pickups: Tyrod Taylor! The most underrated player in all of fantasy football, only owned in 10.2 percent of ESPN leagues. Tyrod has produced against top defenses week in and week out for the past two seasons. Against the “No Fly Zone” Denver defense last week, Tyrod put up 18 points and is ranked 14 in scoring for quarterbacks. This is a great pick up as starter or even as a solid back up.

Mohamed Sanu, available in 38.1 percent of ESPN leagues, has put up 11, 14, 13 points in the first three games this season. He is becoming a common target for Matt Ryan in Atlanta as teams are heavily covering Julio Jones. Averaging 12.3 points a game, Sanu is ranked 29th and his stock is heavily rising has if he starts to find the end zone a tad bit more consistently, he will be a top 15 WR in no time.
