Offensive linemen do not usually get the limelight of other positions. However, being just a sophomore and receiving a scholarship offer to the University of Virginia will shine a light on any position. That is why our athlete of the week is Jimmy Christ

From the Coaches: Coach Buckwalter said about Jimmy earning his offer, “He earned it by the fact he is a tough kid, he is a hard worker, and projectability he is going to be a major division one recruit.”

From Jimmy: I don’t miss practice and Coach Buck is constantly contacting schools for me and god blessed me with my body and my family. I was very excited and after I called Tommy (Class of ’17 and scholarship player at UVA) and told him the good news. He was surprised and thankful. Of course that would be fun to play offensive linemen while he plays defensive linemen he could help me out.

Interest from Other Schools: Christ has been shown interest from multiple schools. Christ said, “Notre Dame asked if I could go to a game. Appalachian State, Arizona, and more coaches Coach Buck is talking to have shown interest.”
