It has been over three weeks since and the permanent replacement for retired nurse Mrs. Mangus has yet to arrive. There have been multiple substitute nurses in her place. The current substitute nurse said, “The job has been posted on the lcps website, they have asked me to work through next week and I don’t know who will be in place after that.” The job was posted on September 11th and is still active.

Mrs. Mangus, the only nurse the school has had, retired this past year and is no longer with us. Dr. Brewer said, “It was incredibly hard to let her go, everyone loved her and she cared deeply for each student that came to her. The new nurse will have a huge set of shoes to fill when she comes on board.”

Titans still await for the arrival of the new nurse.
