Who: Rival Potomac Falls Panthers (0-1)

When: Friday Night 7pm Stadium Field

Why: Home opener: check. Crosstown rival: check. Early season must-win for both teams coming off opening night losses: check. It is a recipe for an easy call for Game of the Week.

Coming off of a state semi-final finish last season the fans will look for more of the same but with a lot of new faces playing key roles for the Titans. Coach Buckwalter and the Titans look to exact revenge after last year’s 15-7 loss at Potomac Falls.

Both teams suffered disappointing season opening losses last Friday but look to build on the positives. Titan QB Thomas Jarman came out on the attack going 13 for 17 with 236 passing yards, good for 2nd in the entire region last Friday. Potomac Falls will look to ground it out more with the duo of Jordan Day and Clemont Mpanya. Both received double digit carries in the their 25-6 loss to Broad Run.

The question for the Panthers on defense is whether or not star linebacker Grant Misch (the only Loudoun player on the All-Met preseason watch list) can stop the dynamic receiving corp of the Titans led by: George Richardson (52 yards receiving), Alex Wertz (48 yards receiving), and Trey Hayes (38 yards receiving and a touchdown).
