Senior Goodbye: Mallory Williamson
Loathe as I am to admit it, I learned a lot over my four years at Dominion. I became a stronger student with a well-established work ethic, and came out of my shell en route to making genuine friends I hope to maintain in the coming years.
There are some things I will definitely not miss about my tenure as a Titan. I don’t think I will ever look back fondly on the copious amounts of unnecessary busy work assigned in certain classes, the pep rallies, summer assignments, or eating lunch so late every day. I especially won’t miss spending a half-hour every afternoon in the parking lot, fighting with sophomores to get off Augusta Drive before dusk.
However, as I progress to my next journey in life I will certainly look back on certain elements of my 9th-12th grade years with happiness or pride. I don’t know if I will ever be able to replicate in another environment the community feeling in the Dominion community. I’ve also had fantastic teachers over my time here whose positive influence and fascinating personalities I will reflect positively upon.
I certainly have not made every correct decision as I’ve navigated high school, and I cannot even say that I’ve learned from all my mistakes. Still, as I wade the uncertain waters of the future, many of the lessons and much of the guidance I’ve learned and gained here will stick with me.
