National Foreign Language Week at Dominion
The week of March 6th – 11th is National Foreign Language Week, which Dominion’s foreign language department has celebrated “for the last 10 years or so,” says Ms. Fogelson, who is the foreign language department chair.
Established by a national organization, National Foreign Language Week celebrates the various cultures of the countries studied in foreign language classes at Dominion. To celebrate National Foreign Language Week, students learn to say greetings from countries all over the world in their foreign language classes.
National Foreign Language Week at Dominion concludes with the Foreign Language Banquet, which includes culturally-tinged food and performances by students. The banquet is hosted by foreign language honor society students.
