Restaurant Review: Miyama

In the Great Falls shopping center there’s a small sushi restaurant called Miyama a few doors down from Food Lion that is more than worth trying.

When you first walk through the door, the first few things you’ll notice is the cleanliness and cozy feel to the restaurant. When you’re first seated, the staff is very quick to provide you with menus and take your drink orders.

The menu offers a wide variety of foods ranging from multiple sushi choices to salads, soups, and noodles. Sushi is made at a bar where you can watch the chefs make it, and though the wait might be a little long, it is definitely worth it.

The #1 benefit of eating at Miyama, however, is definitely the prices. Everything is reasonably priced, and sushi is half off on Mondays and Tuesdays. This puts a basic Spicy Tuna roll at just $3 which is an excellent option for high school students who don’t have jobs or are trying to save money.

In addition to being located in a very convenient area for Dominion students to go to, they also offer takeout with a typical wait-time of 15 minutes. It’s ideal for sit-down dinners with friends, take-out for when you’re really busy, and definitely any time you don’t want to drop a ton of money.
