NFL Week 11 Preview
What Happened Last Week
- On what would’ve been a game tying extra point, the Broncos blocked, and returned it to stun the Saints
- The Seahawks beat the Patriots late, possible Super Bowl chance for them to meet up again in the Super Bowl
- The Steelers lose to the Cowboys as Dak Prescott continues to thrive, 8-1 on the season.
Saints vs Panthers 8:25 pm NBC/NFL Network Thursday Night Football
Both of these teams suffered crushing losses last week, the Saints off of a blocked extra point and the Panthers gave up 20 straight points and lost on a game ending field goal. The Saints are probably the better team in this matchup, their offense is very dynamic and neither of these teams plays defense. It’s surprising to see a team drop off the way the Panthers have a year after making it to the Super Bowl, so something must be going on inside their locker room.
Saints win 35-32
Miami Dolphins vs LA Rams 4:05 pm FOX
After leaving almost everyone in the sports world at question, Rams head coach Jeff Fisher has finally named number one overall pick Jared Goff starter in LA. Although many were saying he wasn’t ready to play and he needed more time, it was always a weird move considering how high they drafted him combined with how bad Case Keenum has played so far. I think this move will provide an extra boost of energy for them, and although the Dolphins have been playing great I think they lose this one in LA.
Rams win behind Goff 23-18
Packers vs Redskins 8:30 pm NBC Sunday Night Football
The Packers are now 4-5, and are trailing the Lions in the NFC North. They have played with no life and their defense has been among the worst in recent weeks. The Redskins would be in the playoffs if the season ended today among 3(!) other NFC East teams. Kirk Cousins looks like a franchise quarterback and I think he will play very well against this poor Packers defense.
Redskins win 26-25
