NFL Picks: Week 7 Preview

What Happened Last Week

  • The Seahawks beat the Falcons on a late questionable call
  • Texans beat the Colts in OT in AFC South battle
  • Cowboys continue to impress, beat the Packers. Will they start Tony Romo when ready or will Dak keep the job?

Bears vs Packers 8:25 pm CBS Thursday Night Football

Both of these teams are trending down, the Bears more than the Packers, but in a division where the Vikings are seemingly unbeatable and the best team in the NFC. The Bears are 1-5, they don’t have their starting quarterback and don’t have very much depth on either side of the ball. They’ve lost a lot of games to teams they’re supposed to beat and are looking at 1-7 going into the bye with the Packers Thursday and the Vikings the following week. The Packers have underachieved and it starts with the way Aaron Rodgers has played. Although he is probably the most talented quarterback in the league and maybe ever, his attitude has never been very good and when the Packers offense is playing the way it has, it looks a lot worse.

Packers bounce back 21-18

Patriots vs Steelers 4:25 pm CBS

The Patriots got Tom Brady back two weeks ago and have looked unstoppable thus far. Their offense is clicking, Rob Gronkowski is back, and their defense, isn’t among the best, but is getting the job done. The Steelers have looked very inconsistent this year, and are coming off a loss against the Dolphins. One factor in this game is that Ben Roethlisberger doesn’t look like he’s going to play, making this game not as entertaining but anything can happen.

Patriots win 28-17

Seahawks vs Cardinals 8:30 pm NBC Sunday Night Football

A NFC West matchup Sunday night should be a good one, as both teams are coming in playing great, and they don’t like each other very much. The Seahawks defense has been very sketchy this year, but still is among the best in the league, and the same goes to the Cardinals. This game is going to be up to who can run the ball better, but I think it’s going to come down to the very last play.

Seahawks keep it rolling 31-24
