NFL Week 3 Preview

Similar to week one, week two of this NFL season was filled with close games and constant action, as some teams were trying to avoid going 0-2 (which in history, seriously effects a team’s playoff chances).

Washington Redskins vs New York Giants 1:00 pm FOX

The Giants who are 2-0 are hosting the Redskins who are 0-2 in a must win for Washington. After a heart-breaking loss to the Cowboys due to a crucial interception thrown by Kirk Cousins when near the goal line late in the game, the Redskins locker room was distraught and many players were upset with Kirk on his play. Nonetheless, a playoff hopeful team is off to a bad start, and they are playing a very talented Giants team whose offense has looked impressive.

Redskins get the must win 27-24

Chicago Bears vs Dallas Cowboys 8:30 pm NBC

The Dallas Cowboys looked like a good football team in their first win against the Redskins this past week. They had receivers making plays, a running back who looks like a future star, and they still have the best offensive line in football. The main difference is that Dak Prescott looks like a poised NFL quarterback who has a future in the league, and has done a good job getting it to the vast talent on offense. The Bears on the other hand were embarrassing Monday night; an offensive line with no cohesiveness, no depth, a hurt quarterback, and injuries everywhere. With Jay Cutler missing some time with a thumb injury, I don’t think the Bears will be doing much this season.

Cowboys win 28-13

Atlanta Falcons vs New Orleans Saints 8:30 pm ESPN

The Falcons just won a surprising week two matchup against the Raiders, while the Saints have had two brutal losses in games they probably should’ve won. This game won’t have much defense and both teams are in need of a divisional win.

Saints win 38-31
