First-Ever First-Week Pep Rally
This afternoon, Dominion hosted its first pep rally of the year. However, for the first time, it wasn’t on the afternoon before the Homecoming game but during the first week of school.
The reason for the pep rally “is the football game” against Potomac Falls tonight, said Gina Wilson, a Dominion sophomore and a member of SCA. “It’s a big game,” Wilson said.
The event was planned in advance– “during the summer”, Wilson says–and it’s likely that the success of this year’s first-week pep rally will determine whether or not the SCA will do something similar in the future. This early pep rally won’t affect the typical pep rally schedule for the year, though, as Wilson says that “there will still be [a pep rally] at Homecoming.”

Actually, it’s not the first time that DHS has hosted a “Pep Rally” during the first week of school. I think when DHS first opened in 2003, they had a “Pep Rally” during the first week of school.
