Summer Music Festivals

Spending a weekend at a music festival is a fun, popular way to enjoy oneself while school’s not in session. Below are some big festivals coming to the DC-Metro area.

Festival: Governor’s Ball

When: June 5-7

Where: New York, New York

Festival:  Bonnaroo

When: June 11-14

Where: Manchester, Tennessee

Cost: $349.50

Headliners: Mumford & Sons, Deadmau5, Kendrick Lamar, Florence + The Machine, Hozier, Tove Lo, and Childish Gambino

 

Festival: Warped Tour

When: June 17 – August 8

Where: Over 40 states across the U.S.

Cost: Dependent on venue

Headliners: Boy Meets World, Candy Hearts, Youth in Revolt, Sirens and Sailors, and Matchbook Romance

 

Festival:  Lollapalooza

When: July 28-31

Where: Grant Park, Chicago

Cost: $120 per day

Headliners: Radiohead, Lana Del Rey, Future, Ellie Goulding, Major Lazer, G-Eazy, The 1975, HAIM, Martin Garrix, Bastille, Bryson Tiller, and X Ambassadors
