Last year’s yearbook with the NSPA plaque, which incorrectly has one mark of distinction instead of the two earned.

The National Scholastic Press Association (NSPA) critiques high school publications and determined the 2015-16 Dominion yearbook, The Odyssey, to be a First Class yearbook with Two Marks of Distinction. This closes out a strong year for the yearbook as they sold out before the book arrived in late May 2016.

NSPA focuses their critiques in five areas: Essentials, Coverage, Writing and editing, Design, Photography, and Student work. All areas, except for Student Work are scored out of a 100 and also have a mark of distinction.

The Odyssey received their highest scores and their marks of distinction in Coverage and Design. This left the book just two marks of distinction away from being an All-American book.

The current yearbook, with the theme of “More than Words”, is currently on sale for $80. They are available on www.yearbookordercenter.com with order number 13562. The price will increase on April 1 to $100.
